Grounding Cushion ('Be Mindful')
In times of stress we can feel cut off from the body and disconnected or dissociated from ourselves and the external world. These weighted cushions are a useful way of increasing pressure on the physical self to help ‘anchor’ and ground.
Clients use them in different ways to suit their needs. On the lap or knees, or to give pressure to the feet to feel connected to the earth. Others have used them on the chest or shoulders. Clients experience a sense of safety, warmth, comfort and relaxation allowing the breathing to slow, enabling them to ground themselves.
- The outer zipped cushion is made from washable cotton linen, printed with a motif which can be selected during purchase.
- The inner cushion is filled with medical grade poly-pellets with equal amounts of filling in 8 compartments to avoid slippage.
