Overview

An in-person CPD workshop exploring creative ways to work with clients' core beliefs and life scripts.

About the course:

Core beliefs are our most deeply held assumptions about ourselves, the world, and others. These often underpin our life scripts which become the blueprint for the way we live out our life. The challenge is that these can be unconscious, yet rule our relationships and how we view ourselves and others.

Through this experiential course participants will have the opportunity to explore how they can work with core beliefs and life scripts with clients in a more creative therapeutic way. We will touch on theory from Transactional Analysis and Gestalt therapy, while introducing creative materials to encourage participants to explore their own core beliefs and scripts and then apply theory to their clinical practice. Participants will leave with some new ideas to bring into their direct work with clients and as a self reflective tool

About the speaker:

Catherine is a qualifed play therapist and supervisor with additional training in Embodiment Psychotherapy, Somatic Trauma Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy and Couples Therapy. She is the founder of Create Hope, a charity which offers therapeutic services to children, young people and families in Berkshire and Wiltshire.
